The American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to restoring and competing on historic motorcycles. With over 3000 members, AHRMA is the largest historic racing group in North America and one of the biggest in the world. The association’s popularity reflects the nation’s fascination with classic and historic bikes.
AHRMA Academy of Roadracing has been developed by experienced racers to share valuable techniques of roadracing historic and modern motorcycles and sidecars on the challenging circuits of America.
Roadracing
By successfully completing the AHRMA Academy of Roadracing, you will gain a wealth of information and experience that will enable you to control your motorcycle at race speeds. In addition, you will have the privilege of racing with AHRMA; the school also meets the licensing requirements of many other racing organizations across the country. You will get track time, receive one on one coaching by experienced racers/instructors as well as participate in a mock race including race start and finish. Riders of all levels will benefit and learn new skills.
Already an experienced rider but want to fine tune your skills? AHRMA now offers half day (afternoon) classroom and track instructor training sessions. Contact roadracing.academy@ahrma.org for details if you are interested.
AAR Sidecar Racing School (SRS)
The SRS was developed with “safety” in mind. The Pilot and Co-Pilot will learn through discussion and on track sessions from our Sidecar Mentors the techniques/dynamics of Sidecar Racing. You will get to experience a “Mock Start” at the end of the school day (typically Friday) so that you will know what to expect from race starts.
You must successfully complete the AAR Sidecar Racing School (SRS) to be eligible to race the weekend. Fees for Race Registration ARE NOT INCLUDED in the SRS fees.
