This event is targeted toward new participants that wish to bring their street car and learn the racetrack or just want controlled track time.
This will include a classroom session for new participants followed by track time.
“How to learn a track” will cover topics such as:
- Flags, lead/follow, track layout and procedures
- How to a SMOOOOTH driver
- How to become aware of “turn-in” and apex locations you are using
- Why you start with a late apex
- Controlled entry = fast exit
- Focus and Feel for your car

Graduated from University of Illinois in 1970 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering
Married Sandi in 1971.
Occupation history: Tire Development Engineer for Goodyear including Section Head for several race divisions and high-performance street tires.
Currently President of Kryderacing, Inc.
Race driving career highlights:
1971-1974: Competed and won in Autocross/Solo events in a Datsun 240Z.
1975: Entered SCCA amateur competition with C-Production Z-car built from above 240Z.
1981: Built a GT-2 SCCA Class Nissan 280ZX and qualified for National Run-Offs.
1981: Won Prototype class at Nelson Ledges Longest Day. First of many competitions and wins in a variety of showroom/improved touring class cars owned by other people.
1982-1999: Entered IMSA GTU races with above GTU Nissan. Drove in more than 100 IMSA GTU and GTO races. Includes several additional Kryderacing designed and built race cars during that time span.
1987: Designed and built first tube-frame GT car. Acquired/raced Nissan 300ZX Turbo in SCCA.
1988: Left Goodyear to work full time for Kryderacing.
1990: Designed and built second tube-frame GT car following destruction of first at Sebring 12-Hour.
1991: Finished 5th in IMSA GTU Season Championship. Only independent in top six finishers.
1992-2006: Association with TrackTime as instructor at events coast-to-coast.
1994-1997: One Lap of America in ZR-1 Corvette. Third Overall, Top Independent awards in 1996.
1999-2006: Group Leader for Stock Cars at Marlboro Fantasy Camp. Held at tracks coast-to-coast.
2002-2005: Return to One-Lap of America Competition with Corvette ZR-1/Cadillac CTV (trophy).
2003: Competed in SCCA Run-Offs in clients T-1 Corvette.
2003-2005: Podiums in week-long, multiple track Open Track Challenge on west coast. (Corvette ZR-1)
2009: Became Chief Instructor at Nelson Ledges for Fundayz and other events.
2011: Started approving drivers for SCCA Competition Licenses through Alternate Driver’s Schools.
Current: Still racing annually (amateur and vintage), doing some test driving, and coaching when not running Kryderacing.
