Silly question: Wanna drive on a racetrack?
From those with zero on-track experience to seasoned enthusiasts looking for extra seat time, SCCA’s Track Night in America Driven by Tire Rack is the place to be. This year, Track Night in America (TNiA) is that and more, as it jumps into its ninth season of events that revolutionized the way people can access racetracks.
The concept is simple: People are busy, with life commitments getting in the way of enjoying quality track time. Enter TNiA, where a few hours in one day can place you and your street car on the track – you know, where you belong.
And in 2023, there are promotions and surprises you won’t want to miss.
Get In And Drive
From January to December, Track Night will travel to more than 30 racetracks spanning this great nation. Track Night will hit the ground running on Jan. 28, 2023, in Southern California with a stop at Auto Club Speedway – likely the last TNiA at that venue before NASCAR converts its two-mile speedway into a half-mile short track. By the end of March, additional TNiA events will have taken place at Atlanta Motorsports Park, Charlotte Motor Speedway, Eagles Canyon Raceway, Harris Hill Raceway, NOLA Motorsports Park, and Thunderhill Raceway Park, with 16 more events happening in April.
The 2023 schedule combines the usual suspects with the sublime. For example, Track Night has traveled to Daytona International Speedway in the past, but this year, Track Night expands its presence at the immensely awesome superspeedway with another pair of dates. If you’ve never taken to the 31-degree banking of this legendary speedway, well, you need to.
We also have a few tricks up our sleeves, like the fact that negotiations are currently underway to lock Homestead-Miami Speedway in for its very first Track Night ever! The date(s) is currently “TBA,” but hold tight because we all know that Homestead’s a track that’s on your bucket list.
Scroll to the bottom of this announcement for the current 2023 TNiA schedule (once again, keeping in mind that additional dates and locations will undoubtedly be added).
Easy on the Wallet
TNiA events are affordable. In fact, they’re a downright deal – with event discounts being given continuously throughout the year. What do we call affordable? How does roughly $170 per event for three 20-minute sessions in the Hawk Performance Novice Experience, Intermediate, or Advanced group sound? And that’s not all, as pace laps and support from the SCCA team of driver coaches and administrators all add to the experience.
An SCCA membership isn’t even required, although SCCA members will receive a $20 discount every time they enter.
A Valentine’s Day Treat
Speaking of deals, don’t forget to treat your sweetie this Valentine’s Day with a TNiA event. If you purchase a Track Night in America gift certificate between Feb. 1 and Valentine’s Day (that’s Feb. 14, for all you fellas out there), you’ll be automatically entered into a drawing for a trip to the SCCA Prize Closet.
From Hawk brakes to Braille batteries, Summit Racing Equipment canopies, coolers from Hagerty, iRacing memberships, and more, the SCCA Prize Closet contains more goodies than you can shake a stick at. And believe us, we’ve tried.
